Influencers, a recent study conducted by Applied
Research Consulting for the Journal of Accountancy, revealed
CPAs are the most trusted and respected opinion leaders with
the largest influence over their clients buying decisions.
In fact, 97 percent of small business owners
rely on the expertise of CPAs for business matters such as:
- Tax-Related
Issues
- Payroll
and HR Solutions
- Investments
- Retirement
Planning
- Technology
Purchases
The compelling
research also revealed that:
- 40 percent
of small business owners spoke with their CPA about payroll
and HR issues in the last year, while 64 percent
plan to in the future;
- More than one-third
(34 percent) of small business owners sought advice from
their CPA about retirement planning in the last
year, while two-thirds (68%) plan to in the future;
- More than one-third
(36 percent) of small business owners received CPA counsel
on investments in the last year, while
almost twice as many (64 percent) plan to in the future.
