Record Membership Levels at the AICPA
Over 27,000 New Members. Renewal Rates Exceed Expectations. What does this mean for the advertiser?
by AICPA Custom Media Solutions

The AICPA welcomed 27,096 new members to the Institute for the 2009 Fiscal Year–significantly higher than the same period last year. Membership renewal rates have increased by 26% thus far in FY10 and the AICPA has reached a record level of over 360,000 members–more than ever seen in the institute’s 122-year history.

This excellent news proves the importance of the Institute within the CPA profession.

What does this mean to you as an advertiser?

The CPA Profession Is Increasingly Optimistic

With the uncertainty in the economy, many advertisers have either reduced media spend or are hesitating to start new campaigns. However, the increase in AICPA membership and the results of the recent AICPA Economic Outlook Survey indicate an improved outlook. It is therefore important to continue marketing to CPAs at this time.

Your Target Audience Truly Values The AICPA

This state of the economy could make one wonder if professionals would invest in the membership fee. But with credential and section membership numbers (the fees for which are higher than general membership) beating expectations, there is proof that the credentials and the AICPA membership are truly valued as crucial sources of professional information and support. By participating as an advertiser in AICPA publications, your ad is likely to make a strong impact among the 500,000+ CPAs who turn to our magazines and e-newsletters for news, analysis, professional advice and product resources.

Larger Reach, Same Rates Means Greater ROI

With constant advertising rates and a growth in membership, our advertisers will achieve a greater ROI this year.
