WEBCAST NEWS: Form 5500—Q&As With DOL, SEC Updates Heat Up Summer
SAP sponsors back-to-back AICPA Webcasts.

Nearly three in four (74%) respondents to a recent EXPO Magazine and Exhibit Surveys Inc. poll indicated they are sponsoring more Webinars and Webcasts as a means of reaching qualified leads and furthering their brand building efforts in a carefully controlled high-engagement setting.

The SAP-sponsored AICPA Webcast in May 2006, Corporate Fraud From the Fraudster's Perspective, was not only topical and timely given today's headlines, it was compelling because it was a live interview of two people who had committed significant fraud. Said Steve Ernst, Director, CPA Advisor Programs for SAP Americas, a frequent AICPA Webcast sponsor, “It was personally intense and you don't expect to see that in a CPE session.”

SAP also sponsored the May 16th AICPA Webcast Corporate Fraud in America…What’s Really Going On in America? and the May 17th Internet Marketing: Evaluating the Value Proposition. As AICPA Webcast moderator, John Hudson, CPA, says, “Sponsors may select the topic when it is an AICPA ‘Infocast’. These are programs that are offered free to the participants but with no CPE awarded. Programs offered as Infocasts are, by their nature, a little more commercial than regular Webcasts where the participant pays to attend.”

AICPA Webcasts are ideal, cost-effective lead generating vehicles for reaching highly targeted audiences in real-time. Through Webcast sponsorships, you will be able to spread your message live to interested audiences who have pre-registered specifically for the event. There is also a residual effect as archived Webcasts are re-visited frequently by attendees as well as new inquisitive viewers.

“SAP is pleased to be associated with and sponsor the AICPA-produced Webcasts,” said Ernst. “They have consistently included solid and timely content that is of interest to CPAs in public practice and in the private sector,” he added.

As an AICPA Webcast sponsor, you’ll receive approximately two million pre-event marketing impressions. Your logo will be highlighted on-screen throughout the two-hour Webcast (see example below), including during viewer polls and the sponsor’s exclusive five-minute product presentation.

Are there any on-going benefits for Webcast sponsors?

Many Webcasts are converted to self-study after the live event and the sponsor’s branding continues in the archived version. Often, these archived versions of the program and are sold for a year or more after the live event so the sponsor’s branding lives on. The sponsor’s branding is included on the jacket of the CD plus, if the sponsor had a video that was shown during the program, that video is retained in the archive.
