PIB Ad Revenues Rise 9.7 Percent in January

Total magazine
rate-card-reported advertising revenue for the month of January
2005 increased 9.7 percent, compared to January 2004 according to
Publishers Information Bureau (PIB).

Four of the
12 major advertising categories experienced double-digit increases
in both PIB revenue and pages over January 2004: Automotive (13.7
percent), Food & Food Products (36.9 percent), Media & Advertising
(20.3 percent) and Financial, Insurance & Real Estate (20.7
percent).
